Before becoming a photographer, Robin Dahlberg was a civil rights attorney and traveled widely, advocating for the reform of criminal justice, juvenile justice, health care, and foster care systems throughout the country. She is now a visual artist and arts educator based in New York City, using photography to explore how we respond to the challenges of everyday life. Robin Dahlberg published her first photo book in 2016, Billable Hours in 6-Minute Increments, a humorous look at corporate culture in large New York law firms. The book was shortlisted for both The Anamorphosis Prize and the Fotobookfestival Dummy Award Kassel, and it is in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art and the Special Collections Section of the New York Public Library.
