If there exists a world between reality and dreams, my work traverses that place. They are photographs of scenographies created on a small worktable. There, I place and recreate my universe to address the essential issues that concern me.

The eternal dilemmas. Our condition, loneliness, and dignity. The way we treat the world and ourselves. I aim to express the injustices we experience and how we are a part of them. I strive for sensitivity, beauty, and shared pain to transmute into image and communication. With this work, I acknowledge the impossibility of grasping any certainty. Everything is questions, fragments, scraps, visions... I do it from a distressed, sometimes painful, and often fascinated perspective. My way of working is very particular. I come from the world of sculpture and installations where lighting was always very important in accentuating the message to be conveyed. In recent years, light gained strength with the creation of models within transparent domes with internal light. This particular way of working led me, almost unwittingly, to photography. I work on a 1m x 1m table and there I create small scenographies on the themes that concern me. I use dolls, various objects to scale, and anything else that seems pertinent to convey the idea or emotion that is swirling around me. I work with continuous lighting, using lamps and flashlights, to build the scenes.

Light, always light, and the infinite possibilities it offers.
