Explore the key figures who laid the foundations for this fusion of art and science, and discover how photography intricately wove itself into the fabric of human storytelling, influencing communication, culture, entertainment, news, and advertising. The history of the method and its theories has dictated changes in artistic production and conceptualization regarding the capture and reproduction of images.

The main objective of this masterclass is to provide participants with general knowledge about the emergence of photography, its historical impact, and the technical and critical evolution of the method.

INSTRUCTOR:

Leonor Fernandes, serving as the Exhibitions Manager at FotoNostrum since 2023, brings her extensive expertise to the role. A distinguished alumna of Nova University of Lisbon, she earned her degree in Art History and later pursued a Master's Degree in Contemporary Art History from the same institution.

Her professional journey, starting in 2014, has encompassed diverse roles within museums, art galleries, and foundations. Her specialization lies in adeptly managing exhibition spaces, strategic project planning, and effective communication.
